On Monday, November 9, the Bjelovar Center for Civil Society Development held the final conference of the "Spica Rada" project.

It is a project worth HRK 978,039.92, which was co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund, and whose implementation began in May 2018.

The conference was attended by Prefect Damir Bajs, President of the County Assembly of Bjelovar - Bilogora County Mario Preskočil, Director of the Public Institution of the Regional Development Agency Slobodanka Čalić, Director III. Elementary School Bjelovar Goranka Preskočil and representatives of the Croatian Employment Service, Regional Office Bjelovar, Croatian Chamber of Commerce, Center for Lifelong Learning and Culture Bjelovar, Technology Park Bjelovar, Moir Lahez's company and Office 4 You.

The president of the Bjelovar Center for the Development of Civil Society Željko Pavleković presented the project and the results achieved through it to the audience, and the speakers were the representative of the Croatian Employment Service of the Bjelovar regional office Martina Bereš and the prefect of the Bjelovar-Bilogora County Damir Bajs.

The aim of the project was to provide assistance in the employment of long-term unemployed persons in Bjelovar-Bilogor County. In the project, two employment offices were opened, in Bjelovar and Daruvar, and 15 workshops were held on the topics of self-assessment and improving skills for finding a job. 200 individual counseling sessions were also held, and at the Public Open University Bjelovar, training sessions for the occupations of nanny, carer and independent bookkeeper were held, which were attended and successfully completed by 25 participants, six of whom found employment.

The Bjelovar Center for the Development of Civil Society is already implementing new projects whose goal is to contribute to the development of society and where new jobs have already been secured.
